How much juice do you get from a lemon?

We weighed an average supermarket lemon and measured how much juice it yields to save us guessing each time a recipe indicates lemon juice as an ingredient in mls. In the spirit of sharing, here you go!

– One average lemon, weighing about 120g, yields approximately 40ml lemon juice.

– Three average lemons, each weighing about 120g, yields approximately 120ml lemon juice.

– Six average lemons – each weighing about 120g – yields approximately 240ml lemon juice.
