Whatever the purported health benefits, it certainly won’t do you any harm. It also temporarily ruins your palate for anything sweet making you less likely to tuck into cereal with added sugar.
Juice and zest of half a lemon
2 tablespoons organic honey (not runny honey or a blend, you need the good stuff)
1 inch piece fresh ginger, sliced – no need to peel it
1. Fill a glass with boiling water. Add all the ingredients. Leave to steep for 3 to 5 minutes before drinking.
