Try this quick and easy dessert, perfect for impressing friends at your dinner party.


4 peaches, stoned and halved
2 tablespoons of amaretti or orange liqueur
4 tablespoons cold water
4 amaretti biscuits, crushed
Pinch of cinnamon
Almond slivers, chopped


1. Poach the peaches in the liqueur and water until soft. Strain the peaches and chill, reserving the syrup.

2. Mix the crushed amaretti with the cinnamon and almonds. Fill the peaches with the mixture and drizzle over the poaching liquid. Serve with mascarpone.
