This buttercream icing recipe will cover 12 cupcakes. Recipe doubles or halves easily.

Ingredients

150g butter, softened
250g icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
 

Instructions

1. Whisk the ingredients together in a large bowl. Use immediately or cover and chill. Leave to soften before using.
